Morphe 25A Copper Spice Palette

I feel like everyone and their mother knows about this palette.

This is the Morphe 25A Copper Spice palette, the lil sister palette to the 25B Bronzed Mocha palette (but that's a story for another post). I bought this directly from the Morphe website at the same time as buying none other than the queen Jaclyn Hill's palette.

I knew I wanted it for a super long time and since I'm already pretty in love with Morphe products - both their brushes and their palettes, I knew it wouldn't be long before I caved and got this one.

Alas, it wasn't. So here we are. I have no will power okay?

CAN WE JUST START BY TALKING ABOUT MY MARBLE BACKGROUND???? HUH? HUH?? DIY goin on there *winking emoji*

Anyway, back onto the point of this post - the palette - before I start going off on an excited tangent, I want to mention the pain in the ass that is Morphe international shipping.

I paid around £20 to get 3 things shipped to me, and then another £21 on top of that for customs. GURL. I mean, they did come in 5 days (???!!!) so I still luv u Morphe, but jeez help a girl with an overdraft out </333

Ahhh the aesthetics. This palette is pretty freakin' pretty, it has all your neutrals with a mix of matte, satins and shimmers (holy moly those shimmers, just wait boo), some pops of colour, and warm and cool undertones. And a matte black. Yes.

 First row

Second row

Third row

Fourth row

Fifth row

Some of these swatched a lot better than others, which is usually a given with cheaper (ish) palettes, but generally, the quality was pretty consistent and impressive.
For example, the first shadow on the second row, and the second shadow on the fifth row were both super smooth, had a nice satin finish and were incredibly pigmented in one swipe.
However the third shadow on the fifth row was still a satin but felt a little more dry and chalky, so I had to build up the swatch a little.

It's no biggie, as they all worked really well on my eye - some needed a little more work to build up the intensity but they were easy enough to blend out.

The shimmers (those damn shimmers) were incredible. As you can see from the whole of the fourth row and the first shade in the fifth row, these were so incredibly smooth and buttery I could smother my whole arm in the swatches. They were so pigmented with 1 swipe I was shook. SHOOK.
These worked best when applied with my finger just to get the most colour payoff, but I feel like a damp brush would do the trick as well.

I did experience a lil baby bit of kick up with some of the darker shades when swirling my brush in them, but this was easily combatted by just tapping off the excess, so there really was very minimal to no fallout at all. And ya girl is happy with that.

I did actually create a look with this palette which I posted to my insta not too long ago so I thought I'd pop it here to show you! I was just desperate to use those shimmery shades... I used the second, the third and the fifth shade from the fourth row from inner to outer corner.

Lil sunset vibe going on there.

Stay tuned for my post about the Morphe 25B Bronzed Mocha palette as I will be doing one on that palette as well - I got you x
